November 10-12, 2022

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Sector 67, S.A.S. Nagar - 160062, Punjab (INDIA)

THANK everyone for bringing their expertise and experience and engaging in such fruitful, constructive and open exchanges throughout the three days of the International Symposium on Recent Trends and Future Opportunities in Pharmaceuticals (NIPER PHARMACON 2022)

The broad objective of the international symposium is to understand the recent trends & future opportunities in pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceutical and medical devices and work in collaboration with leaders in academia and industry. This will help to address R&D challenges related to specific stages of the innovation value chain in pharmaceutical sciences and secondly, to undertake joint/collaborative activities leading to human resource development, R&D, institutional capacity building, and entrepreneurship development. One of the most important objectives of the symposium is to create a plan for enhancing academia-industry interaction.

Indian Pharma Industry has been a global leader in Generic drugs. In order to acquire leadership position in drug discovery and development and to continue to excel in the formulations, Government recognized that human resources/talent pool is very critical. Thus, Government of India set up National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) at S.A.S. Nagar Mohali as a registered society under society registered Act 1860. Subsequently, the Institute was given statutory recognition by an act of Parliament (NIPER Act, 1998) and NIPER S.A.S. Nagar was declared as an Institute of National Importance. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) S.A.S. Nagar, an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The Institute was ranked First in India, 7th in Asia and 44th in globally in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings in Pharmacy and Pharmacology subject category for year 2022.
